I usually plan something experiential for my partner’s birthday, this year, as a surprise, I booked a duo candle making session with Mayowa at their studio.

Booking the experience was quick and easy, as the website is clearly set out and easy to navigate.

Within seconds of booking I received a text confirmation of the same.

Upon arriving Mayowa had a good selection of refreshments and snacks which we were offered.

Mayowa was super informative about the various properties of each essential oil, as he broke down which were the top, heart and base notes. We then chose the combinations of oils that we wanted to use for each candle.

We then made our own candles using combinations of essential oils that we had picked out.

The session had the perfect amount of theory and practical. I definitely learned a lot and can’t wait to receive our candles.

Upon booking I left a note that it was for a birthday and when we left the studio, Mayowa brought out a card. He went above and beyond!

I would definitely recommend the experience, if you’re considering it, just book it, you will enjoy it.

Mayowa is very knowledgeable in his trade, I learnt so much about aromatherapy, essential oils and candles in such a short period of time. Workshop exceeded my expectation and definitely something I'd want to do again.

I couldn’t rate this experience any higher. Mayowa went above and beyond to ensure we not only made amazing bespoke candles, but went on a real sensory journey through the experience. The perfect way to spend an afternoon.

My mother in law and I booked this workshop to spend quality time together making candles (she loves candles, who doesn’t!).

This scent is simply beautiful! I put it in my bedroom and appreciated it every single time I stepped into my room. The smell lives up to the name of being vibrant. The best way for me to describe it is 'bright' the citrus notes brighten my mood and is so pleasant without being overpowering. I would definitely recommend and I will defitnley be buying again.

I can’t recommend this course more highly. A straightforward, easy to comprehend course. Fascinating introduction to all the different essential oils and how the combination of each can totally change the end result. Mayowa had endless patience in answering all my questions too.
